IRELAND!

As my friends and newsletter readers know, I've been working on a trip to Ireland since August 2002 that Watkins offered as a contest. Here's the saga of how my trip is going.

Woo! Hoo! January 23rd! Earned the 7 day, 6 night trip for 2!

We will be staying in Killarney at the Great Southern Hotel. To earn the trip I need 12 new Watkins Consultants who do a total of at least 12,000 between August 2002 and January 2003 when the contest ends. There are four trips with different total qualifications.

1. 5 days, 4 nights, trip for one - I need 76,219.10
2. 7 days, 6 nights, trip for one - I need 81,219.10
3. 5 days, 4 nights, trip for two - I need 86,219.10
4. 7 days, 6 nights, trip for two - I need 91,219.10

August - August started off with a bang and I sponsored 7 new Consultants including one who is a Baking A Business newsletter reader. New Consultant productivity was 2923 so I'm doing fine there. My group total was 14,439 - things are looking good.

September - I decided in September to start working with a new coaching program that Watkins has offered. I started with the last person who joined in August, who just happened to be a Baking A Business newsletter reader. This 6 week program is designed to help new folks get off to a good start. Results in September were not that great, but coaching and training take time. On the up side, I sponsored 4 new people and my team members are sponsoring too. New Consultant productivity was only 1680 and my group total was 10,925.3.

October - Once again I sponsored 4 new people this month and my team members continue to sponsor. I am working with all of the new people using the 6 week coaching system. Results in October were MUCH better! I'm beginning to think I might be able to earn this trip! New Consultant productivity was 4137 and my group total was 15,857.

Three month figures are: New Consultant Productivity 8740 and total organization 41,221.5. During this month, one of my new folks decided they wanted to earn the trip too. It would be a huge "elephant" for them to chew, but they wanted to try.

November - November will be a month I will always remember. My business was on a personal high, but my personal life was at an extreme low. My dear mother-in-law passed away after a long illness and nursing home stay. I spent hours sitting with her and holding her hand while she went through the dying process. I also had another personal crisis that had me in tears whenever I thought about it all month long. On the other hand, my business had the largest numbers ever. My personal sales were over $4,000. Despite working my business VERY part time, I sponsored 5 new folks and my group is continuing to sponsor. My main business focus this month was my coaching calls. I wanted to continue to support my new folks who were working to build a business.

My new consultant productivity in November was 6303! My total organization did 22,793 and that's a high for me! By the end of November my total new consultant productivity was over 15,000! That's well over the 12,000 that I needed to earn the trip! My organization total for the trip was 64,014.6. Can you see how close I'm getting to the smaller trip for one? I attribute a good part of my success this month to the coaching I'm doing with new folks. I'm getting to know them and they are getting to know me and learning how to build a business.

There are only two people in the entire company who have over 12,000 in New Consultant Productivity and I am one of them. Watkins is so impressed with the results I'm having that they wrote up my story and sent it out to everyone! I'm also featured in the "back office" part of Watkinsonline where Associates order and can find extra training, forms and other business information. I have been asked to talk about the coaching system on the next Manager teleconference call in January.

One of my new folks enters the qualification period to become a Manager. Managers must do 2,000 per month and do it for 2 months in order to qualify. You must also be a Manager to earn this trip. This is very exciting for me!

December - WOW! By the middle of December I had earned the shorter trip for 1! I'm going to IRELAND! The only question is which trip will I earn? By the end of December I had earned the longer trip for 1 and have a good start on the shorter trip for 2. I continued coaching my new folks and working on my personal sales. The couple that qualified for their first month as Managers in November completed the qualifications so they are Managers now! Another one of my new people has decided she wants to work toward Manager and she qualifies for her first month in December. December new Consultant Productivity is 4230.2 for a total of 19,273.2 and my total organization is 19,167.7 for a total of 83,182.3. Only about 8,000 to go to earn the longer trip for 2!

January 2003 - My Manager Sue is also on track for the trip to Ireland! We both also earned the trip to Cancun a couple of years ago and we had a ball! While others in my group would like to earn the trip, their "elephant" is just too large. But I can see that more team members will earn the trip next year! I'm writing this web page on January 4th. I'll keep you posted with my total numbers as the month progresses.
