Too much salt in your soup? Add a peeled
potato to absorb the excess.
Brown sugar like a rock? Add a slice of bread and it will
soften like new.
Limp celery? Place the ribs in a glass of water and return to
the refrigerator. The celery will absorb the water and become crisp again.
Stale bread? Cube it up and place in a freezer bag to use as
croutons or dry it in a slow over and make bread crumbs. Add Watkins Italian
Seasoning instead of buying expensive Italian Bread Crumbs. You can also do this
with left over bagels, biscuits, rolls, and crackers.
Use Watkins Soup Bases instead of expensive canned broth. One can of Watkins
Chicken Soup Base is equal to 20 cans of broth. Watkins Chicken Soup Base
also has more chicken flavor and a lot less salt!
Don't store bread in the refrigerator as it will dry it out. Instead store
in the freezer and just defrost what you need.
To recrisp stale crackers or chips, place on a baking sheet and put in a
300 degree oven for about 5 minutes. Serve immediately.
