Applesauce Cookies

3/4 Cup Shortening
1 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 3/4 Cups Flour
1/2 teas. Watkins Baking Powder
1/4 teas. Salt
1 teas. Watkins Cinnamon
1/2 teas. Watkins Ground Cloves
1/2 teas. Watkins Nutmeg
1 Cup Applesauce
1/2 Cup Raisins
1 Cup Crushed Cornflakes Cereal

Combine shortening, sugar and egg; beat until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients; mix until well blended. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375°F for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 5 1/2 dozen cookies.
