Beef & Rice Skillet Dinner
3/4 Lb. / 340 g. Top Round Steak
2 teas. / 10 ml Watkins
Onion Liquid Spice
2 Cups / 500 ml Water
3/4 Cup / 180 ml uncooked rice
1/4 Cup / 60 ml Watkins
Mushroom Soup Base
1/4 teas. / 1.2 ml Watkins
Thyme
1 Cup / 250 ml Sliced Fresh Mushrooms or (80 oz. / 227 g.) Sliced Mushrooms, drained
1/4 teas, . 1.2 ml Watkins
Black Pepper, or to taste
1/2 Green Bell Pepper, cut into strips
Coarsely Chopped Green Onion, for garnish
Cherry Tomato Halves, for garnish
Cut meat diagonally across grain into paper-thin slices
(for easier cutting, freeze for 1 hour). In medium skillet, sauté steak in Onion Liquid
Spice until no longer pink. Add water and next 5 ingredients; stir. Bring to boil. Reduce
heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes. Stir in green pepper. Let stand, covered, for five
minutes. Adjust seasonings to taste. Just before serving, garnish with green onion and
tomato. (4 servings)
