What you charge customers whom you service personally is entirely up to you. As an Independent Associate, you may want to charge them the rate that Watkins charges for customers which is $4.45 plus .50 for damage and protection. If you charge this rate you can just place each order through Watkins and they will direct ship the order to that customer. You can use your Quick Pay, Credit Card or your Customers Credit to do this with Watkins.
Many customers don't like paying $4.95 for shipping costs, especially when they may only want a few items every few weeks. A fair way to charge shipping is to add 6% on to each customer order. This is if you don't mind placing their orders for them and delivering them or having them pick the order up at your home. One advantage is that customer orders 'beef up' your order to Watkins. You as an Associate pays $7.95 for orders up to $132.00, so having a few customer orders definitely helps you to get to that level or higher.
You can also charge a flat rate per order such as $1.00 or $1.25. Once again, this is your decision. You may even vary your shipping costs depending on how many orders you have. An example would be if you have 5 orders totaling $75.00 in sales. You want to place them with Watkins but know you'll be charged $7.95. You could charge $1.50 per order to cover that $7.95 cost. Doing this is better than making customers wait a long time to get their products. Whatever shipping options and charges you choose, be sure they make sense and are agreeable to your customers and you .
