
Chai Loaf

Grapeseed oil is the only know oil that will both raise the
good cholesterol and lower the bad.

Bread:
1 Cup / 250 ml Brewed Chai
¾ Cup / 180 ml Raisins
¾ Cup / 180 ml Craisins (dried sweetened cranberries)
1 Cup / 250 ml Sugar
1 Egg
¼ Cup / 60 ml Watkins
Original Grapeseed Oil
2 Cups / 500 ml Flour
1 teas. / 5 ml Watkins
Baking Powder
¼ teas. / 1.2 ml Baking Soda
½ teas. / 2.5 ml Salt
Watkins Cooking Spray
Honey-Lemon Butter:
½ Cup / 125 ml Softened Butter
2 teas. / 10 ml Honey
½ teas. / 2.5 ml Watkins
Lemon Peel
Bread:
The night before: put brewed Chai in a large bowl along with dried fruits and sugar. Let
stand covered overnight. The next morning: Beat egg and grapeseed oil together and stir
into Chai/fruit mixture. Combine remaining ingredients. Add to fruit batter; stir until
blended. Spoon into a loaf pan coated with Watkins Cooking Spray. Bake at
350ºF / 180ºC for 50 to 60 minutes.
Honey-Lemon Butter:
Whip together ingredients for Honey-Lemon butter. When loaf is done, turn out, slice
and serve hot with Honey-Lemon Butter
