Fido's Cheese Treats
1 cup oatmeal
1 1/2 cup prepared Watkins
Beef Soup Base - heated
1 cup Grated Cheese
1 Egg, Beaten
1 cup Wheat Germ
1/4 cup Watkins
Original Grapeseed Oil
1/2 c Powdered Milk
1/4 ts Salt
1 c Cornmeal
3 c Whole Wheat Flour
In large bowl pour hot broth over oatmeal and grapeseed oi. Let stand for 5 minutes. Stir
in powdered milk, grated cheese, salt and egg. then add cornmeal and wheat germ. Mix well.
Add flour, a little at a time, making sure that each addition is mixed well. Knead 3-5
minutes. If necessary, add more flour to make a stiff dough. On a floured surface, roll
doug to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with bone shaped or other cookie cutters. Bake at 300
degrees for 1 hour. Turn off heat and leave in the oven another hour or so to dry.
To give as a gift put in cello bags and tie
with a bow.
