
Great Grandma's Bread Stuffing
A traditional New England Bread Stuffing that makes
enough stuffing for an 18 pound turkey.
Ingredients:
9 Cups Soft White Bread, cubed
3 Cups Chopped Celery
2 teas. Watkins Baking Powder
1/2 Cup Melted Shortening
2 Onions, chopped
3 teas. Watkins Paprika
3 teas. Salt
3 teas. Watkins Poultry Seasoning
2 teas. Watkins Chicken Soup & Gravy Base
2 Eggs
Directions:
1 Sauté onions in melted shortening. Mix together bread cubes, celery, baking powder,
sauted onions, paprika, chicken base, salt, poultry seasoning, and slightly beaten eggs.
Mixture will be dry. Pack lightly into uncooked turkey. Roast turkey as directed.
