Managers Debbie and Tim McKenzie

The quest for finding the perfect home business began when Debbie was having trouble landing a permanent teaching position after 5 years of substituting. With 4 children and one within 2 years of starting college, combined with an already hectic schedule, a home business seemed like the solution! Debbie had seen Watkins advertised in a national business magazine and requested information from an ad. At the same time, Tim worked right across the hall from Dave Hirko in the Environmental Affairs Department at Pennsylvania Electric Company in Johnstown. Before long Tim realized that Dave was delivering Watkins products to fellow employees. Through discussion Tim realized this was the same company Debbie read about in the business magazine. Dave’s enthusiasm about Watkins was easy to see. Although Debbie was familiar with Watkins products (her Grandmother used none other than Watkins Vanilla), Tim knew very little about the company or it’s history.

In December of 1994 curiosity finally got the best of Tim and he asked Dave if Kim would discuss the Watkins business and opportunities with Debbie at an upcoming company Christmas Party they were both attending. Debbie liked what she heard and it wasn’t long until Debbie held a home party and earned her starter kit. Over the next several months, Debbie and Tim learned more and more about Watkins. After attending some training classes and strategizing with Kim & Dave, their Watkins Business got off to a fast start!

It wasn’t long until Debbie began to sponsor others into the business , demonstrate at home parties, develop a customer base, and even try a few fundraisers. Tim joined in by supporting the business through helping with orders, setting up records and whatever else needed done. It was amazing to experience the help and support from Kim and Dave as well as other Watkins Associates! You usually don’t find this level of support in other companies. It really wasn’t until the July of 1995 at the International Business Conference in Toronto that Debbie and Tim finally saw the boundryless opportunity that Watkins offered to ANYONE. It was then that Debbie & Tim became committed to become Marketing Directors with Watkins. The idea of becoming Marketing Directors became reality in September, 1996. Their business continues to grow and prosper throughout the United States. Debbie & Tim see the introduction of the Pacesetter in 1998 as a boom to their Watkins Business. They were recently featured in Watkins World Magazine on their Pacesetter success!

Besides the outstanding products and business opportunity, one of the things they enjoy most about Watkins are the many friends they’ve made through the business. Their advice is "PERSIST" ! Never give up on YOUR goals and dreams!!"
