
Quick-and-Easy Black & Red Chili
8 oz. / 227 g Ground Turkey or Extra-Lean Ground Beef
2 Cups / 500 mL Diced Onion
1 Cup / 250 mL Chopped Green Pepper
2 Tbsp. / 30 mL Watkins Chili Seasoning
1 teas. / 7.5 mL Watkins Oregano
1 teas. / 5 mL Watkins Cumin
Salt, to taste
1 Can (28 oz. / 794 g) Chopped Tomatoes, undrained
1 Can (15.5 oz. / 439 g) Kidney Beans, drained and rinsed
1 Can (15.5 oz. / 439 g) Black Beans, drained and rinsed
3 Cups / 750 mL Hot Cooked Rice
To taste, Watkins Jalapeno Hot Pepper Sauce
Cook meat, onion, and green pepper in nonstick skillet or
saucepan until meat is done; stirring to crumble. Place in large kettle and add all of the
remaining ingredients except rice and hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and
simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. To serve, place rice in serving
bowls and ladle chili on top. Sprinkle to taste with Jalapeño Hot Pepper Sauce. Makes 6
servings.
