Rover's Rollovers
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup corn meal
2/3 cup yeast powder with garlic (available at pet stores)
1 tsp. Watkins
Garlic Granules
1/2 tsp. salt
2 egg yolks
3 tsp. Watkins
Chicken or Beef Soup Base dissolved in 1 1/2 cups hot water
Mix well and roll out half of dough at at
time to 1/8" thickness no need to be too fussy about this. Cut into desired shapes.
These are cute cut into dog bone shapes or used holiday cookie cutters to give as a
gift. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet. Turn off over
and leave biscuits in over till dry and crunchy. You can put them in a cello bag and
tie with a bow for a gift. While the shelf life of these biscuits is about 3 weeks at room
temperature, they are usually gone so quick they won't last that long.
