Souper Meat and Potato Pie
1 Cup Prepared Watkins Mushroom
Soup Base
1 Cup Prepared Watkins
Cream Soup Base
1 Pound Ground Hamburger
1/4 Cup Finely Chopped Onion
1 Egg, slightly beaten
1/4 Cup Dry Bread Crumbs
1 Tbsp. Watkins
Parsley (can be omitted)
1/4 teas. Salt
Dash Watkins Black
Pepper
Watkins Garlic
Granules (to taste)
2 Cups Mashed Potatoes
1/4 Cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Mix thoroughly 1/2 cup soup, raw hamburger, onion, egg,
bread crumbs, parsley, and seasonings. Press into 9 inch pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees for
25 minutes, spoon off fat. Frost with potatoes, top with remaining soup and cheese. Bake
10 minutes more or until cheese melts. Makes one 9 inch meat pie. You could easily double
this recipe and bake it in a 9 x 13 pan if desired. For this size I would bake for 35
minutes and then the final bake for around 20 minutes.
