Watkins Tiny Meatballs
1 cup fine dry breadcrumbs
1 cup milk
1/4 cup chopped onion
3 tablespoons Watkins
Original Grapeseed Oil
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
3 eggs
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon Watkins
Black Pepper
1/2 teaspoon Watkins
Allspice
1 teaspoon Watkins
Nutmeg
1 cup water
Soak bread crumbs in milk for 15 minutes. Cook onion in 2 tablespoons Watkins Original Grapeseed Oil
in skillet until onion is transparent (about 3 minutes). Combine soaked bread crumbs,
onion, meat, slightly beaten eggs and seasonings: mix well but do not knead. Shape into 24
balls. Put remaining Watkins
Original Grapeseed Oil in skillet and brown balls. Add 1/3 cup water, cover
and simmer until tender (about 1 hour) Turn occasionally and add remaining water
gradually, when necessary. Serve on toothpicks.
Yield: 2 dozen
