After visiting several Watkins internet sites, I got an email and a follow-up phone call from Manager, Linda Sikut. Linda's personal warmth and genuine commitment to help Chesley build a business -- even with the variables due to his handicap -- confirmed that Linda's team - the Rising Stars, is where we belonged. Chesley and I began to build a business together.

I fell in love with all of the fabulous Watkins products and "Watkinized" my home. I began to love to cook once again because everything is so much tastier with Watkins products. While I am not particularly the "sales" type, I love to share great news with others. Well, Watkins and the Watkins opportunity is GREAT news. As time went on and I shared Watkins with others, I found others joining our team. The same thing happened to them. Additionally, our volume began to increase because many people I talked with were excited to learn that "Watkins is still in business."

Now, I am a Watkins Manager!  Our Rising Stars team keeps your spirits soaring and Watkins products will keep your business growing!  The opportunities keep getting better with all of the incentive and reward programs offered by Watkins. I was born on a farm in North Dakota, where at times during the winter, it might  be a month or more before we would be able to get to a town for any reason; Watkins was everywhere on the farm. There was the Horse Liniment, (Watkins Red Liniment), and yes, they used it on horses too. Black Salve, (Watkins Petro Carbo Salve), yes it was black in those days. Still the same formula today, but the petroleum refining process is much better now. Black Salve, (Petro Carbo), was used for minor cuts, bruises, as a drawing salve for boils, even as a remedy for seven year itch.

A doctor back then was Momma with a bottle or can of Watkins something or other, like M.C.O., (Menthol Camphor Ointment), used to cure sore throats, tired feet, blisters and relief from insect bites, just to mention a few uses.

There weren't any candy stores, bakeries, or any other type of store readily accessible except for the Watkins products found in the pantry. There was cinnamon, extracts, flavors, pudding - pie filling, gourmet spices and herbs, all of the things to make the best candy and pastries. That hand cranked, homemade ice cream was the ultimate because of Watkins extracts and flavors.

Let us not forget the legendary Watkins Double Strength Vanilla nor that great granulated Black Pepper to where you hardly, if at all, miss salt when you have that pepper. For an extra treat now and then we would flavor our milk with Watkins Double Strength Vanilla.

By age four (4), we had moved to a town and stores were within walking distance and we even had a local bakery. Their cream puffs didn't hold a candle to those made with Watkins Double Strength Vanilla, their cream pies tasted like chalk, not like the rich flavors of cream pies made with Watkins Pudding and Pie Filling. Those great tastes are still in today's Watkins Products.

I'm like a lot of people and out of sight can mean out of mind and I forget to order Watkins products. As a Watkins Associate I no longer have to be reminded to order before I run out. I can now clean my shower again without having to use a respirator, by using Watkins Tub & Tile Cleaner. I now get whiter tee shirts without using chlorine bleach by using Watkins Laundry Detergent. A cleaner kitchen because of Watkins Citrus All-Purpose Cleaner. Many times we don't fully realize how much we missed something until we get it back. Oh yes, I missed Watkins Products, but until I went back to using them, I didn't realize how much richer my life is when I used Watkins.

When I decided to become a Watkins Associate, I got online and found a web site that was advertising Watkins Products and the Watkins Business opportunity. I sent email requesting info. Now I sent the email at night expecting to get an email reply, but instead, I received a phone call a few hours later at 5 A.M. in the morning. I informed him that I did not wish to do business with someone that calls me at 5 in the morning without me requesting to be called at that time.

Anyway I still wanted Watkins Products, so back to the search engine. This time I didn't pick the first Watkins site I found, but read what each had to say and what they offered. I picked out about three (3) sites and then chose one (1). That site was Rising-Stars. I sent Linda Sikut an email and received an email back. Via email we set up a time for her to call me and she was prompt! Linda gave me the impression that it was not enough for me to choose her, she also had to choose me. Great relationships all start with a mutual respect for each other. Anyone and everyone that uses Watkins Products should seriously give thought to becoming a Watkins Associate and becoming part of the Rising-Stars team. ~ Al Schmidt

I was looking for Watkins at our local county fair, like I do every year. well to my surprise it wasn't there. I Linda's ad in the paper and gave her a call. I booked a party from her and I got to thinking that I didn't want to lose my Watkins Associate again, so I decided to become one myself.

Linda gave me all the support I needed and encouraged me right from the start. I joined her team because she is always there with her friendliness and encouragement. Linda is always there to help out.

I love to do a lot of cooking and Watkins spices are just wonderful. They make your food more enjoyable because of their awesome flavors. Watkins has enhanced my life by helping me not to be so shy. Back in 1999 I was selling Cookin' The American Way products which was similar to Pampered Chef.  PC added herbs & spices to their line so I went looking for Watkins so I could add more spices to my line.  I found my upline, Linda Sikut, online in woman's chat group. I joined her team because we had already developed a relationship online.

She also was very upbeat and offered lots of training and information. I liked the fact that Watkins was inexpensive to join and I didn't have to stock my garage with goods!  I got my kit and started taking the supplements that were included.  Linimax was one of the sample supplements. 

I also joined the Watkins online Friends list and started asking about Fibromyalgia and what I could take to help it.  I got several replies that Linimax would help.  So I ordered my first order before my 2 week supply ran out. 

I ordered one of the Watkins Assortments within my first 45 days and sponsored my first person also I earned an extra bonus.  I earned the cost of my assortment back! Not only was I starting a great business, I started feeling better!  I joined in July and went to the International Conference at the end of July where I heard one of the speakers talking about supplements and health.  I asked him afterwards about Fibromyalgia and he suggested I take the following ones: Linimax, Superfood, Osteogen, and Skin Hair & Nails.  Well, I was off all my pain meds within 3 months!  I have been off of them for 3 1/2 years now! 

I started sponsoring more people that I met online.  My business was off to a good start.  I earned 5 extra bonus checks in my first year! I became a Manager and then also took training to become a Natural Health Specialist & Lifestyle Consultant.  

I feel as though I will always sell Watkins as it is the only answer for my good health and they carry a fantastic line of products. I love Watkins! ~ Debbie Nelsen

The Old and New of It

My first encounter with Watkins was at a very young age - perhaps 9 or 10 years old. The Watkins Man would visit my Grandparent's home. I learned about black salve, used as a cure-all by my Grandfather for blisters, slivers, sores and surface lacerations. There was a cough tonic and camphor. I thought of the Watkins Man as the Medicine Man.

My next encounter with the Watkins Man was when I was 18 and just married, living with my new husband and in-laws. My mother-in-law used the Dessert Mixes to make great pies and puddings. She always used Watkins Vanilla for baking (it's natural flavor and aroma filled the kitchen every Saturday morning). She introduced me to Poultry Seasoning at the holiday season. I haven't been without Poultry Seasoning since.

Unfortunately over the years, I lost touch with a Watkins dealer, so I was always searching for a Watkins source. Last time I ordered direct from the factory.

Last January, at 66 years of age, I saw Linda & Dan Sikut's ad in the Hamburg Penny Saver. I called Linda and after meeting with her and her exhilarating personality, I decided to become a Watkins Associate. Not only do I now have my Poultry Seasoning, I have become attached to many other products. As Linda says, "Onion Soup Base...Yum!!!"
