Tips on Using Old Catalogs & Samples

What Do You Do With Your Old Catalogs?

I put a sticker on my old catalogs that says "Retired Catalog - Call for Current Pricing" with my phone number and leave them around town in Dr's offices, Dentist's offices, Chiropractor's offices, hair dressers - anyplace people sit and wait

I NEVER thow away my old catalogs. I will go door to door and leave them in places where I see there may be children. I put a little note on them saying that if they would like a current catalog to contact me. I leave my catalogs in doctors offices, banks, resturants, etc.

I Cut pictures out of old brochures and use in your customer newsletter or place in photo-pocket bag or even on a photo keychain.

I continue to pass them out as they are still good and you can "Back Order" out of them.

What Do You Do With Your Samples?

I make 'goody bags' to pass out to everyone you meet, or to send to referrals or neighbors. Include your business card and latest brochure. People will buy what they try!!

I use samples to introduce people to our wonderful products. Many people don't realize that cinnamon is supposed to be sweet. Many have never tried our personal care products. It's fun to do and it makes people smile.

I use my samples many different ways. I like to include some with each order, pass them out to new people, tape them to my books and much more! They make
great goodie bags as well.

How Do You Find Most of Your Recruits?

I ask everyone I know if they are interested in selling Avon.I also ask people on the streets, if they dont want to sell Avon they may ask for a book and may call you with an order.

People come from EVERYWHERE! Some from those I meet, some are party hostess', some I meet online. I would say that the majority of my customers are local and the majority of my team found me online.

What are Some Good Party Ideas

I am new to having parties but some great ideas are simple ones. Make sure you have at least one drawing that they can enter for free goodies from your stock, hand out thank you gifts if your guest brings a friend and the friend places an order,be sure to have some sort of refreshments for your guests and if there is time little games with a prize are nice to do also.
Michele

One of my favorite parties is a Spa in a Box. We do hand sugaring with aromatherapy and pretend we're at a spa. I even hooked up with a local massage therapist. My most popular party is my Whiffin', Sniffin', Tastin' Party which is a general overview of our product line. Online I do a Watkins Party In a Box and Bingo Parties.
