January 2004
January 29th - You know, I
really love what I do. I spent several hours today on coaching calls working with
wonderful people who are excited about their new Watkins
business. I love working with new people, answering their questions and hearing their
excitement. It's one of the best parts of what I do. I also sent out a Watkins Good Tastings Party
Packet today along with several catalogs so I got to visit with the folks at
my local Post Office. I'm running a bit behind getting my print newsletter done for my
customers who receive a monthly of a Watkins catalog so I made that a priority!
January 28th - Both of my
morning coaching sessions were cancelled today. One because they are moving and the
because she is a substitute teacher and was called to work so I had the morning off! I
also take from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM for myself because I work evenings coaching people
so I called a friend and we went shopping and out to lunch. When I got back I started
working on the Watkins
catalog requests that I have, then I made Watkins
Shrimp Bisque for us for dinner. I had several nice Internet orders so sent
those people a thank you gift and then prepared another Watkins Good Tastings Party
Packet. I ended my Watkins
work day with one last coaching call.
January 27th - Today was
order taking day. The weather here is very cold and I am so grateful that I don't have to
go out in the morning to a job. My Watkins book party hostess (See Jan 9th) called
today with her orders. Her party was around $250 and since I didn't have to work very much
I made over $100 an hour! The lady who was having the Office Party in a Basket
called with her orders too so I had a great sales day! I also had several phone calls
today from people placing Watkins orders and I resigned a member of my team who had let
her membership lapse. I DID go out once to deliver the orders from the ladies at the
Senior Adult Residence. (See Jan 15th) So many of them remember Watkins and it's
very relaxing to visit with them when bringing their orders.
January 26th - I had party
packets to deliver today plus a Watkins Office Party in a Basket. One of the packets was for
a physical party and the host wanted to make Watkins Fire Pepper Bread so I included 2 tsp. of Watkins Fire Pepper in her packet along with the Watkins
Good Tastings Bread Mix. The second one was a book party, but this gal has
had several Watkins
parties/events so her friends are ready to buy. She is also making Watkins Fire Pepper Bread as well as Watkins Cheddar & Bacon Dip
Mix, Watkins Salsa &
Sour Cream Dip Mix and Watkins
Garlic & Dill Dip Mix. I made the Watkins Good Tastings Bread
and the Watkins Dip
Mixes for the Watkins
Office Party in a Basket, then added Watkins Chai Latte and Watkins Chicken Soup Base as well as several other products to the
basket.
January 25th - Party Day! I
love this part of my business! My host today invited 12 of her friends to come to her Watkins Good Tastings Party.
We had a fabulous time! Her guests enjoyed Watkins Good Tastings Bread
plus Watkins Garlic
& Dill Dip, Watkins
Salsa & Sour Cream Dip and Watkins Bacon & Cheddar Dip.
My host had those made up when I arrived. A few of her friends couldn't get there because
of bad weather, but the rest of us had fun. Many of her guests remembered Watkins and had
stories to share. I brought Watkins Peppered Hummus (I promise I'll put that recipe up
soon) and Watkins
Strawberry Trifle (I need to add this one too.) My pay? About $34 per hour. Not
bad for spending an afternoon with some wonderful ladies!
January 24th - I called with
my customer who is having a Watkins
Good Tastings Party Sunday afternoon to see how many people will be
there. She said she was expecting 12 people and some of them have never heard of Watkins so this
will be fun. I also took Watkins Good Tastings Bread Mix and our winter dip mix
packets to my customer who is having her Watkins Book Party on Monday. She wants to make the Fire Pepper Bread and while she has Watkins Garlic Granules,
she doesn't have Watkins
Fire Pepper, so I took her a small bag with enough to make the bread. I know she'll
like it! This afternoon I spent some time on the phone speaking with a lady who is
interested in starting a Watkins business,
then worked with one of my new team members by phone to help her get started. Since I work
long distance the training/coaching calls are important for new people.
January 22nd - I started my
day by adding some recipes to this web site. Focaccia
Bread, Watkins Fire-grilled Steak
with Chipotle Butter. Spent some time on the phone with a customer who is having a Watkins Book Party. She's going to have her friends over so I'll take her
Watkins Good Tastings Bread Mix and our winter dip mix
packets. I continued working on adding recipes Watkins Creamy Coconut
Cake, Watkins Honey Mustard
Glazed Roast Lamb. Today I have several coaching calls and some follow-up calls so the
phone is my friend today. Added Watkins Hot Cross Buns. Simple
& Delicious Peach Cobbler. Watkins
Fireside French Apple Pie I received a call from a very nice lady who wants to get
started with Watkins.
We spent some time exploring her options before I had to go for a coaching call. After the
coaching call, I added Watkins Bread Dressing, Watkins
Seafood Profiteroles (Crab Puffs), Watkins Banana Cream Parfaits and
udated graphics for Watkins
Pasta with Zucchini & Fresh Tomatoes, Watkins Curried Carrot Soup, Watkins Spiced Apple-Cranberry Pie,
Watkins Boston Cream Parfaits.
January 21st - I dropped off Watkins Good Tastings Bread Mix
and our winter dip mix packets to my hostess for January 25th. She is excited because she
expects about 10 people at her Watkins Good Tastings Event and she's already taken about
$100 in outside orders. I also closed a $200 Watkins Book Party
today. This lady gathers Watkins
orders every month and then calls me. She gets a discount and I get extra sales. It works
for both of us.
January 20th - I had a local Watkins meeting
tonight. My upline, Cindi and I hold a monthly meeting together. This month we focused on
new products Watkins
will be coming out with soon and recognition of those in our local organization who have
been promoted in their Watkins business.
January 16th - 18th - I left
with another member of my team on Friday to travel to Kingston Ontario for a Watkins workshop.
We left in the morning so that we would arrive in Kingston before dark. The Auto Club
advised us to travel the longer way along the Canadian side of Lake Ontario because of
storms on the US side of the lake. We could actually see the clouds forming over Lake
Ontario and the snow being dumped on New York State. It was very cold, but we had sun all
the way by traveling through Canada instead of New York State. Go Canada -
eh? Oh, did you know that I'm an honourary
Canadian?
The Watkins
workshop was all day Saturday and the focus was Watkins Good
Tastings Events. We learned more about host coaching, how to introduce products at a Watkins Good
Tastings event and more. A highlight of the day for me was recognition of my team member
as having promoted to Watkins Gold Consultant! I also received recognition as Top
Personal Sponsor, Top Group Sponsor and the person with the most Watkins Good
Tastings Events scheduled between January 17th & February 28th.
January 15th
- Today I had my monthly Watkins Good Tastings at a local Adult Residence. I bring
goodies for the ladies to sample and take their orders for the month. This is one of the
fun things I do in my business. Many of the ladies remember Watkins and they
love sampling great tasting food. Sales aren't high - about $100 - but I feel like I am
giving them good memories and lots of fun plus I got paid about $22.00 an hour. I also
spent several hours on the phone today coaching new members of my team.
January 14th - Today I made
some calls to folks who have expressed an interest in starting their own Watkins business.
While none of them are ready to start today, it's good to keep in touch.
January 13th - Tonight I had
my first Watkins
Good Tasting of the year. It was so much fun! The host made the Watkins Good
Tasting Bread, Garlic & Dill dip, Salsa & Sour Cream dip and Bacon & Cheddar
dip from the packages I dropped off to her last week. I also made hummus, Watkins Chipotle
Chicken Cups and a Coconut Triffle for them to sample. One of her friends booked another Watkins Good
Tastings so tonight's host received extra value. This event ended up with over $200 in
sales and I made about $52.00 per hour.
January 10th - I decided that I wanted to add
some more Watkins
recipes to my web site so I spent time typing, scanning pictures and creating new web
pages.
January 9th
- Today I dropped off catalogs to a customer who is having a Watkins book party
that will close at the end of the month. She and her friends love Watkins products,
but just don't have the time for a full Watkins Good
Tastings. This is their alternative. I also spent time today working with some of my team
members on their coaching call.
January 8th - I had coaching
calls today plus some follow-up calls to make.
January 5th - 7th - I set
aside these evenings to follow up with people who said they would like to have a Watkins Good
Tastings event in January or February. I was able to connect with everyone during these
three evenings and ended up booked through February. That is good for my business!
