February 3rd
I had an appointment to have my hair cut today and my hairdresser gave me yet
another order for Watkins Vanilla TheraTea. She told me it's the best she ever had. When I
got home, I spent some time following up with people who are interested in Watkins as a
business. I like to touch base now and then to understand what is going on in their life
and how Watkins can fill a need for them.
February 4th - 5th
On Wednesday and Thursday, I do the marjority of my coaching calls. I'm working
with several people right now who want to work with different methods of marketing. One
wants to do internet work, one Watkins Good Tastings, another fairs & shows. While
most of my calls are one-on-one, I do have two ladies who chose to work together with me.
That's fun as they brainstorm with each other.
February 6th
Today is another day to make follow-up calls. One of the best parts of my business
is the opportunity I have to work with all types of people who come from all over the US
and Canada. I love it!
February 7th
I have 3 Watkins Good Tastings parties next week so today I'm calling my hosts to
find out how many people will be attending. My hosts make the dip mixes and sometimes the
Watkins Good Tastings bread. I'm bringing delicious Watkins Strawberry Triffle made with
Watkins Vanilla Dessert Mix and Watkins Strawberry Extract as well as angel food cake,
whipped cream and strawberries.
February 10th
My host tonight is a long time customer who decided she wanted to introduce Watkins
to her friends. This was a nice group of ladies, some of whom have used Watkins products
and some of whom have not. The ones who use our products always tell the ones who haven't
which products they love. As with other Watkins Good Tastings, they can sample the dips
while they are waiting for others to arrive. The ladies all had a great time munching and
trying Watkins products. When we came out, about an hour and a half later we discovered
that we were having a surprise snow storm! Everything was covered with fresh snow and it
was coming down very fast. We all hustled out of there and everyone got home safely!
February 11th
Today is phone call day! I have phone appointments all morning and all evening.
Some of these calls are coaching calls and some are appointments I've made to talk with
others about Watkins as a business. I have learned to love my headset phone!
February 12th
Watkins Good Tastings tonight! During the afternoon I had several phone
appointments scheduled. I made the dessert and the Watkins Good Tastings Bread in the
morning so that it would be ready. This is one of my groups of ladies that has Good
Tastings several times a year however this is a new host so she invited friends who have
never attended a Watkins Good Tastings event. I love listening to those who love our
products telling those who have never used them what they like.
February 13th
Watkins Good Tastings tonight! Friday is my day to deliver Meals on Wheels so I
made the Watkins Strawberry Triffle in the morning then made the Watkins Good Tastings
Bread in the afternoon. I met the host of this Watkins Good Tastings at a craft show that
I did in the fall. She loves Watkins products and didn't know anyone in this area until
she met me. She was pleased to introduce Watkins to her friends. This was a fun group who
enjoyed tasting and sampling the different items that I brought. I do introduce a couple
of Watkins personal care products at my Good Tastings and Watkins Peppermint Foot Cream
went over big with this group!
February 15th
One of my customers called me today to close a book party. She made Watkins Fire
Pepper Bread for the folks at work and they loved it!
On February 16th, my husband is having surgery
to resolve some health issues. I will be working my business in a minimal way while he is
recovering. The beauty of this type of business is that it's okay to take time off if
needed. I will still have my residual income coming in and many of my customers will still
call to get their products. In addition, my internet sales will be there.
During this time I will be doing mostly phone
work, talking to others who are interested in Watkins as a business, working with my new
people on their coaching/training, and taking customer orders.
